Hoof or Shoulder?

Hello all,

My Gigi (17) has been cursed with a badly shaped hoof on her near for. I believe it is a case of badly contracted heels.
Due to our farrier being pretty bad at his job he let it get slightly out of hand. So much so we needed to get the orthopedist out. He prescribed getting her shoes off and correcting the hoof for 6 months. He said it was to be expected that she be lame during this time.
However I believe her lameness has moved from the hoof to her shoulder - our vet has confirmed this and told me to contact a physio saying it has now moved to her shoulder or back (he cannot be 100% sure). She seems much more lame on hard ground and a little less lame on grass/earth (I can provide videos. One was taken in august 2020 and the other in November 2020...you can see she is getting worse...)
What with all these bills piling up I was hoping I could ask on this forum for any help or advice before calling more vets/ experts.
I will truly be grateful for ANY information from ANYONE

If a horse is sore on it's feet (including as a result of removing shoes and transitioning to barefoot) it uses it's body in a different way to compensate which can cause soreness elsewhere/higher up.

A horse shouldn't be left lame while transitioning, a horse should be booted with appropriate pads and given pain relief as indicated if necessary.
