I do mine every time i ride, and when i am putting them to bed i always do them, but as they are on livery during the week, i'm not sure that YO always managed to do them before bed time.
Is there a recommended frequency of hoof picking somewhere? I bet the BHS has a line about that in some book or other.
I do mine once a day when he comes in from the field pm. If I ride am I will pick out before that and also it will be done when he comes back in pm.
I am going to ask a ridiculous question here, but if the number of times varies so much (as shown here) why is it SO important???? (Very numpty I know but just seeing wot everyone thinks).
