Hoof Repair

Hi
My horse managed to half pull his shoe off a couple of weeks ago, so I pulled it off and the farrier came down and put it back on. But he now has a hole on the side of his hoof. I have seen lots of glues, repair kits etc on the internet but can anyone actually recommend one that works! It just needs to fill the hole until the hoof grows back.

I cant remeber the exact brand i have used in the past. But it looked rather like cork!!!! My Working Hunter managed to pull off his shoe and 1/2 his hoof a week before we were supposed to go to the RIHS!! Farrier plugged it up and I painted over it with Absorbine black hoof polish and you would never have known what was lurking beneath!!!!!
