I haven’t been very well recently and my mare is on full livery, she was shod about 3 weeks ago and I’ve just noticed this dent?

what could it be?

farrier due next week to check, no signs of lameness, no heat what so ever etc.

Can you take a picture side on from low down? It looks like an insignificant hoof defect, but if it follows the angle of the hoof horn tubules I would be extremely worried about how underrun and long toed that that foot is.

ETA

.Ignore this comment! I thought the front of the foot was on the left of the picture ?

It's just a normal hoof ring from a particular event that changed her diet or caused her stress

Not the best picture I know, I don’t have another one just an enlarged one of the one posted.

I’m not happy with this set of shoes she has, the farrier has done a terrible job hence the new farrier next week.

Thankyou! I’ve still got a new farrier coming over, she was very underweight when she came over so we’ve built her up quite slowly and now removed molasses from her diet a couple of weeks ago so I’m thinking it’s a combination of all of that.
