Hi, horse is currently growing his feet out quite quickly so was shod at 5wks rather than 6. Before shoeing I noticed his front feet appear to be very slightly different shapes. I’ve had him 4 years and he’s 10years old (ISH). I have not noticed this before. He changed farrier about 2 years ago which did improve the flaring he used to get. One foot seemed narrower than the other or wider, I don’t know which foot they both used to resemble if that makes sense. It isn’t particularly obvious so possible it has been slowly developing and only now that I’ve spotted it. Could this be something sinister? Not lame. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t worry too much, as long as he is sound. The feet respond to the forces coming down the legs, no horse (or human) is symmetrical so there will be slight differences.

I would chat to the farrier about it, my farrier has usually noticed things but doesn't tend to mention them unless he thinks there is a problem. He is quite happy to discuss if I ask his opinion.
