I had been regulary using Kevin Bacon Hoof dressing which has strengthned Petes feet alright but I was in a horse shop the other day and saw Cut heal Hoof Heal. I was wondering does anyone use it and think its good etc? I get the impression it is used to heal cuts on the hoof etc but can be used for conditioning the hoof etc as it says suitable for the showring? It also says suitable for cattle/goats etc which is often a good sign because proucts suited to cattle are usually stronger such as fly spray for example...

I am also going to try Topspec NO.1 hoof supplement but wanted to regulary apply something to his feet aswell.

Pete also occasionally gets mild thrush because he trashes the bit of bed where he wees so I was thinking cut heal would be good for that too..

Any feedback appreciated,

Laura,

Over the summer I used Keratex hoof hardner twice a week - as directed on the bottle and then kevin Bacon the rest of the time - my farrier can't believe how nice my boy's feet are!

I now also feed him equivite general purpose supplement which is makinga diference t his general condition.

I have been using hoof heal for the last month or so, seems to be doing a good job, I was dissapointed by kevin bacon stuff. I do supplement too though (naf profeet)

Cornucresine Dry and Brittle Daily Hoof Moisturiser is fab stuff, it has transformed my TBs feet. For best results though I'd use it as often as possible for the first few weeks
