Hoof supplement and/or gel/cream/oil recommendation....

Anyone recommend any supplement or cream/gel/oil to help improve hoof condition. My lady's feet aren't particuarly bad, just with this dry weather they're starting to look a bit 'under nourished'.

I appreciate these things aren't a cure-all, just would like to improve hoof condition a bit :-)
 
naf 5 star hoof supp is v good, really noticed the difference when I changed onto another brand, so changed back again!
 
Formula 4 Feet - expensive, but a little goes a long way. And my farrier sells me Hypona Hoof Balsam. It's an acquired smell, but does the job beautifully.
 
Kevin Bacon hoof treatment, it us recommended by farriers and as it is made out of animal fats so it doesn't dry out the hooves. Also comes with a bayleaf!!
 
Ah - I've heard of this Kevin Bacon stuff.............. sadly I'm off an age where the name just makes me chuckle and do a little dance!!!! Lol!!!

Aqueous cream is what I use on my coblet. Whole hoof, top and bottom plus frog. Been doing it for the past few days and definitely making a difference. Cheap as chips too :)
 
another vote for hoof power plus equine america my tb has AWFUL feet lame because of them when we got him now his feet are in amazing nick and looking great also keratex hoof gel which is great but must be careful as it can irritate if gets on skin! superb for hooves though!
 
My vet in Scotland always told me to look at nutrition first when feet dry and cracked. 1997 and 98 were long dry summers in Scotland.

I have a laminitic mare and have to say that Formula feet has been fantastic for her feet. In December we thought she would be put down when we saw her x-rays. My French vet could not believe the improvement in horn quality in just 6 weeks.
 
Aqueous cream, 99p a jar, works fantastically - got the tip from a poster on here. Several of us are trying it, and I can't recommend it enough :)
 
My farrier has told me than nothing is any good for horses feet. He says that the outside wall of the hoof is impenetrable and therefor, hoof oils/creams etc just sit on the top and that the hoof absorbs moisture from the underneath. hosing or tubbing is of no use he says.

However my horses were shod on tuesday and considering how dry it has been etc, when I asked him how their feet were holding up he said very well. No cracking, just a bit on the hard side at the moment..............I didn't tell him I have been using Kevin Bacon's hoof dressing for the last 6 weeks or so!
 
Kevin Bacon makes a big difference, one of my girls has pretty crap feet, always cracking , I`ve been using Kevin bacon since xmas and no cracks :)
 
Aqeous cream, from your pharmacy, couple of quid for a pot (dont tel the pharmasist its for animal use, otherwise they get a bit PC on you lol!)

Water & Kevin Bacon.

During the real dry summer months, I tub their feet for five to ten minutes or so once or twice a week (it helps she doesn't dislike tubbing!) and apply Kevin Bacon pretty much every day.
