My greedy boy is now living out for the summer. He is eating like a pig however the weight he has put back on after slimming down for winter seems to have stabilised, and I'm working him hard to get it off, otherwise it will be a grazing muzzle for him, poor fella.
I have stopped giving him hard feed completely as he doesn't need it, but he does get a carrot when he comes in to be ridden.
However I have notices his hooves are looking rather crumbly since I have cut his feed out. I was wondering if anyone could recommend something to feed him which is non-calorific but will strengthen his feet. He goes silly with anything molassy/sugary too.
I thought maybe I could try Equibites? Or is there anything more hoof-specific?
