hoof supplements?

My vet has just prescribed equistro kerabol. Anyone used it if not, what hoof supplements do you use?

Glad a vet is taking mineral imbalance/deficiency seriously enough to make it a therapy.

The supplement is a high mix of certain minerals but makes no mention of copper in it, which is necessary too.

The best (and cheapest long term) way is to get an analysis of your forage and balance your minerals from there.

If that isn't an option at the moment, then the only two general supplements that I recommend are Pro Hoof http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PRO-HOOF-...r_Equipment&hash=item415ecd69e0#ht_1466wt_952

And Equimins Beta Advance (you have to ask for that specific mix).

In 35 years as a farrier I have only ever come across one good hoof supplement DIET, DIET DIET!
Sorry but if a horse is healthy it will grow good feet then if the feed are bad it ain't the horses fault!!

I have always found formual 4 feet really good.

So did I until I moved to a new area when it stopped working! It depends what your horse is lacking in the rest of his diet and for that reason I now have minerals balanced to my haylage and grazing by Forageplus

there's the newmarket one which is rather good, however I use the dengie coat and hoof supplement, which is working well so far. Use NAF hoof moist as well.
