Just back from a conference yesterday and heard some amazing stuff from an equine vet from the USA. There is a new injectable treatment for mareish mares that lasts 6 months and stops them coming into season so they can actually be ridden and compete. All very new and exciting but the patent has been filed and they are hoping to start trials in the UK later on this year!
If anyone is interested, I can tell you a bit more about it from a science point of view. It's not my field of research but I was so impressed!
