Hope for people with impossibly mareish mares!

Just back from a conference yesterday and heard some amazing stuff from an equine vet from the USA. There is a new injectable treatment for mareish mares that lasts 6 months and stops them coming into season so they can actually be ridden and compete. All very new and exciting but the patent has been filed and they are hoping to start trials in the UK later on this year!

If anyone is interested, I can tell you a bit more about it from a science point of view. It's not my field of research but I was so impressed!

Did they say anything about a treatment for mares that are full of crappy attitude that ISN'T related to their seasons? You can lead my girl around on a piece of string but try to brush her legs or trim her feathers or beard or do basic vet stuff and she draws a line in the sand and says: do NOT cross that or I will get VERY CROSS INDEED. Not related to her seasons - old bat is like it all the time and I've got the bruises to prove it! (PS - I love her dearly!)
