I wish I was in a position to give him a good home, he sounds a real sweetie despite the life he has had so far.
Hope he finds the wonderful home he deserves.
Fingers crossed he gets a good home, plenty out there. Hector had so many homes between 2001 and now its silly, last owner 18 months, previous one 3 weeks etc settles quickly though and already trying to tell us all what to do!
That was just how my Newfie was when I bought her. She was very nervous but you could tell she had been loved.
Really hope he finds a good home, maybe someone on here? It's not far angeldelight, about 80 miles, an hour and half straight across the country and then up a bit
im going to call them at lunch and go and see him I think! I live nearby and he looks lovely. always nervous about buying from a dealer though but i would give him a lovely home and he looks so in need of a cuddle and big tea!

Yay please get him! He looks like he could be a lovely boy!
Is very sad to see cases like this (well good that he's now landed on his feet) but so many schoolmasters, old TB's etc that have had a career, been summons pride and joy and served their masters well over the years end up in sales, you only have to some sales and you see it in there eyes, it really upsets me and just wish I had the money to buy and care for them in there retirement. My other horse who we had PTS last year was an old wise gentleman when I bought him, but we had him for about 8 or 9 years, we bought him from a lady who knew nothing about how to keep horses or even ride, she bought him from a dealer and only had him 6 weeks, but she couldn't afford keep or feed him even though she was doing her best to put weight on him and her heart was in the right place. He was kindest and most genuine horse you could ever meet, but he been passed about and I dread to know how his life would of ended if it was not for me and my mum buying him out of pity. I rode him for about 4 years gently and also my nieces, young girls just like on the advert, also had a little rides on him and he was star, all he wanted to do was please you.
Please don't sell your old faithful on, let them live there retirement well or do the right thing and have them PTS, its much kinder and they deserve a happy ending.

Wouldn't it be lovely if a forum member bought him, and could keep us up to date on how he's doing and post lots of pics, he'd be a mini celeb of the H&H forum!
Thats really made my day and its great that the Hip spotted this horse and started the post too
Hopefully a very happy ending to all concerned and the best of luck to his lucky new owners.
