Hope horse rescue?

Has anyone heard of Hope Horse Rescue? They are in Kent. Good or bad.They have been in conatct with a friend about some ponies she is trying to rehome and she wants to find out more about them first.....pm if you prefer. Thanks x
 
I noticed on their facebook group they seem to really take exception with anyone who asks too many questions, doesn't 100% agree with everything they say and do, etc. Just seen a couple of people saying they've been deleted for such offences and it didn't surprise me much!

Have you got a link to their group please? I can't find anything about them at all!
 
It's a Dartmoor hill pony rehoming project - the ones going for zoo meat, there have been many threads about it as obviously there will be more bred in their place as the lions have to eat something..... Anyway, I digress..

I can't actually promise this is the same one as it doesn't say anythinf about being in Kent. I think a lot of them are sent directly to homes.

I can't find the group now!
 
Please do correct me if i am wrong but are they not the "charity" who "rescued" the ponies from the sales ? But are rather clueless as to how to care for horses properly ?:confused:
 
Is That the lot who don't know the difference between Dartmoor ponies and scrub ferals AKA Dartmoor Hill Ponies?
 
Why would a "rescue" be contacting someone trying to rehome ponies - plenty of unclaimed ponies needing rescuing.
 
Yeah probably, if you join a facebook group called 'project rescue' that is a good general rescue/horses needing homes page. There is a thing posted by the Dartmoor HOPE people and on the comments below there is some controversy over the name HOPE, which happens a lot on there are clearly people need to pick more original names to avoid confusion!
 
Ok well on that facebook thread is a lady called Carrie who runs a rescue in north Kent also called HOPE. If you trawl down the page a bit there is a post from her saying that she has had a bit of flack for being called the same thing and has decided not to be on the internet by the looks of it!
