Hopetoun Roll Coll- start times are up!

Thanks!! I'm on at 1208 so should be a 7am start i think, so will be there for 10 so can at least work the xc before dressage. At least you'll be getting the coolest part of the day.

I think I'll still be starting earlier than you Soupdragon, even without the long drive! I'll maybe see you in crossing when I'm finishing and you're arriving. If not- I should be back and up at the start box in time to be manning that and wishing you good luck as you set off! :D

I'm right behind you FigJam 0830 0930 1010.

Then it will be straight home and back again to help out others and for the bacon roll before they all get going!!

Early start though probably have to get going for 0500 to give the boy his breakfast!

You will see me at the start of the XC harnessed into the saddle, superglued in, and wearing a parachute.Maybe should get those pedals like the cyclists do where I can lock my feet in too?? LOL

Hope the rain doesn't affect the industrial strength superglue we have?Surely 3rd time lucky and won't have an unplanned dismount? Either that Ponio will be sitting at the end of the drive on Sunday with a sign round his neck saying "New Rider Required"!

Good Luck to all and hopefully catch up with some of you. You can't mistake me as I am on the Flying Coo!!

Meeeee!

Am propping up the rear end (oooo'errr!) of the PN, which is a total novelty, thanks to 'travelling with' a nervous competitor...i've been in your shoes FJ the last three times at Hopetoun when i've either been plum first or last...was first at Hutton too the other weekend, and that was hardly local!

Please add me to the fantabulous Mr FJ's hit-list....I will endeavour not to break my nose in front of his fence this time....although as an annex to my snap requests tell B to avoid any steps for the bogpony...as we are not the best at getting up them with our dignity intact!! hahaha!!

FJ - Cheers for the tip.

I'm going along the lines of Tesco....... "Every Little Helps" so purchased a new pair of "sticky bums" for Saturday.

Or was that an excuse just to spend money as not really need another new pair of beige jods???

Okish times for me! Least i have time to walk the XC in between the stressage and show jumping

153 SHAUN Clark, Sarah Sat 1018 Sat 1323 Sat 1357

If you see me please say hi! :-P xxx

So what are your sooper dooper tips for being trailblazer? So far I have on my list;

- don't fall off,
- don't break any fences,
- don't forget the course
- ride every fence like it's the only one that matters...

Anything I've missed?! I should catch you for a "good luck, have fun" at the start box, so look forward to seeing you then. :) Will put in your request with Mr FJ- both for photos and for them not being at steps! ;)

FC- I'm with you on "every little helps"! :D (I have one pair of jods that are my "XC jods" and won't wear anything else, even for training!)

tricksibell- should see you at the start, if not inbetween me finishing and you arriving. Good luck, hope Shauny boy is behaving and plays ball in the stressage for you. :)

OOOhhhhh....you missed out on writing something utterly hilarous and embarrassing on your commentator notes as you'll be the only person the commentator gets to talk about at the beginning so he/she will be able to say it all!!

Good luck everyone!

Those in section C - I'll be able to watch your dressage tests as I'm writing for the judge!

Will hopefully catch some XC too. :D

Good luck everyone - I love Hopetoun. It was my first ever scottish event when I came up here.

FJ - going first is great you can blaze the trail than enjoy the rest of the day.

Sad not be going this year - not sure I could make the walk to the XC start!! See you all next week at Eglinton:)

Eeek I'm still excited! (is this getting old yet for the rest of you..?!) And now it's rained I'm def going yay!

Me Tail End Charlie of the PNs as usual but still leaving house 6:30/7am

I have a request for FJ and FC - please both come back and rave about how easy the course is! Am very suggestable lol :-)

Figjam, I was 2nd to go XC at Hutton. As I sat in the start box I heard that the first to go was elim at fence 6! So as I sailed past 6 I thought "Oh, God, I'm the first to jump these!" But it made me sit up and ride. I had the best round of the season. You will too.

Good luck, sit up, KICK, and smile!!!
Love
W

NJ- thank you, I will try! :)

muffinthemule- we better all have a cracking day the amount we've blethered on about the event... can you tell it's been over a month since my last BE outing?! I will do my best to get a clear XC round just so I can come back and tell you how lovely the course is! ;)

kirkton- cheers. I hope the first on course on Sat doesn't end up elim! :p I know what you mean though, the added (imagined!) "pressure" can be used for good... ride every fence like you mean it and all! Good luck to you on your two as well, will no doubt see you at start box if not before. :)

Hello!
Friend going and doing the BE100 , times are 10.50, 11.40 and 12.16.
Ill be groom and general dogsbody but would love to say hi if i saw any of you :)

Ohh quick question - anyone know if there will be a charge for cars parking? Im planning on following in my car so i can bring the dogs. I was amazed last year at Cumwhinton when they wanted to charge me £10 just to park.
Needless to say i convinced him not bother lol

FJ - you set the standard everyone else has to live up to!!

I will be there, helping in the Sec. tent all day.. Good luck to everybody!
