My 16 month old filly Boots has been behaving quite badly lately, after studying her behavior pattern it seems that when she is in season she turns in to a monster. On recomendation i started feeding her Golbal Herbs - Frisky Mare. Shes been on it a week and yesterday came back in to season, thus she is being a monster and wont let me catch her now, if i cant catch her then i cant feed her the suplement so its all abit pointless now!
For the last 2 days all she has done is paced the fence line (she has rubs along both sides of her from where as shes pacing the fence its rubbing along her side) and stood by the gelding in the next field (who isnt actually showing much interest in her), Shes also pushed off all the rails on the fence from where shes leaning on it.
This is her 3rd season this year and they seem to be having more of an effect on her each time.
What i wanted to ask is
Will she grow out of this? Next year will she be better with her season? is is just because shes only just started coming in to season?
What can i do to help her? - i'v tryed that suplement but obversly if i cant get it in to her system then its not going to help. Can the vet do anything for her or is she too young?
When shes in season should i just leave her alone? Shes very stoppy and kicks out if i try to catch her, i think im just asking for trouble trying to get her in and handle her if shes behaving like this.
I just dont know what to do
She is unhandlerable like this and just turning herself inside out by walking the fence. She is also doing the field and fence no good, YO isnt pleased.
Any advice, tips or sujestions please!
