Have had a horrible week
!!
I changed Oscar from last years hay to this years and it has all gone wrong!!! He has developed a cough, and gone runny and got wierd ring marks on his face? :S
The runny I can understand as I expecat the hay is much richer (have now been soaking it for 2 hours on vets advice). I think he may be slightly allergic to the hay hence the cough??
However the rings on his face have baffled me?!
I initially though ringworm and bought some canesten and have been applying it twice daily. However my friend looked at it today and doesnt think its ringworm as it is litterally just black rings (no swelling, not scabby, not bald, not itching for him, not sore, he isnt slightly sensitive with them) He started with 3 rings next to each other on thursday, then had another appear fri and then one more today?!
His cough and runnyness seems to be worst in the morning (?after stable and hay as he is on grass throughout day)
Anyways; the question is does it sound like ringworm? I meant to get a pic but completely forgot!!! I have just got some more new hay (from a different field) so will change him onto that tomorrow and assess him again. I spoke to the vets sat and will again tomorrow.
He isnt himself and looks poorly but is happily eatting everything and the vets werent too concerned!?
Any help would be appreciated I will try get pics tomorrow.
Thanks
