Just an update on previous post (http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?630388-Horrid-Night)
Got up early and went to the stables to see how sore and stiff my horse was; I got there to find him flat out asleep in his field.
Shortly after, he was up and moving about, a little sore but nothing much considering he hasn't had any anti inflammatories or bute. I left him for a few hours and returned later on in the day to find him happily walking round with no lameness, stiffness or pain.
I decided to put him in a new field where he proceeded to gallop off and have a leap around.
Here are some pictures of his injuries; as you can see he's scraped, swollen and has a lot of heat in his fetlock, hock, pastern and cannon, all-in-all I think he incredibly lucky to get away so lightly; the horsey Gods obviously didn't want him in the big stable in the sky yet!
Picture of the gate he dragged:
