I failed my trailer test yesterday doing the horrible reversing mannouver! Im gutted and its really shaken my confidence! dont want to do it again!

Same happened to me last month

I failed on pulling forward 3 times... managed everything else no probs and only had 3 minors driving. Was really pi$$ed off!

My instructor gave me all the dimensions so I could practise on my own - i can send them to you if you like?
 
Sorry to hear that, I think it is just practice practice practice. I passed mine last year and I remember the day before I seriously cocked up reversing. It is all about going slow enough to counteract too much swing etc.
 
I failed on mine first time round too for exactly the same thing. I HATED the trailer test as well, could do it perfectly in lessons but put me in the test and I bottled it. I passed 3rd time round! Good luck, it does suck but just keep practicing.
 
failed on mine first time round too - jack-knifed it in the reversing - oops! booked it again for week after and passed with 2 minors no probs after getting my head in order and keeping my nerves under control. i knew i could do it, but just let the pressure get to me.
 
I failed my one in the reversing, so had two more lessons just on reversing, and managed to pass second time round.

Don't worry, reversing is horrid but you will get the hang of it and pass!

Thank you all, going to try get a cancellation slot next week to re do it- if i put it off any longer i might chicken out!!x keep your fingers crossed for me please x
