Has anyone seen this awful post from Jessie Willers on FB? https://www.facebook.com/jessie.willers

What a horrific, traumatic situation - so terribly sad for the lady and horse and those who helped involved. I can't believe someone would drive so recklessly and intentionally cause this - even if they didn't like horses, with a person attached to the lunge line, wy would anyone put someone life in danger like this?I hope she manages to report him and press charges ... I'm sure, from the post they could be charged with all sorts.

Let's hope someone got their reg number.

I do feel for the other driver that actually hit the horse too - having a horse come galloping head on into you in the pitch black must have been very scary and I doubt they have enough time to see the horse to react and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are injured too.

I really hope action can be taken against that driver - proper action.

My headcam has come as much part of my hacking gear as my hat. Drivers aren't slowing for me (& you can't miss my high viz) but they regularly brake sharply when they see the camera.
same - the driver clearly intended to cause harm and needs a proper sentence. From what she wrote, she was basically being dragged up the road on the end of a lunge line so he put her life in danger alongside the horse and other road users.

I cant believe there are people in the world like this just out and about 😞

Oh no! This is absolutely sickening.
I ordered a hat cam yesterday, after some low level idiocy last weekend. I think this stuff is happening more frequently, really scary.
this lady wasnt even riding - sounds like she was just waiting for the transporter to arrive. It’s terrifying!

I don't think it was dark but could have been , which makes it worse as the offending driver must have known exactly what they were doing if it was still light

How horrendous. Can not even imagine the horrors the poor lady is going through through.
Also the person driving other car who had no place to go to avoid a panicked horse.
My friend had something like that happen to her a year ago leading 2 in from the field 500 yds down lane from yard she heard the engine racing g towards her and quickly saw the corn field gate open and flung the two ponies into the field and let go. The car never slowed and gave my friend a glancing blow on left hip sent her flying onto hedge. She was bruised, sore A&E visit. She now has a head cam and a big hivis jacket with SMILE YOU ARE ON CAMERA SLOW DOWM PLEASE It seems to work. Car driver was never found

I saw this the other day and it sounded horrendous. My friends horse was killed on the road about 20 years ago and that day will stay forever etched in my mind. You never really get over witnessing that kind of thing 😞
It made me extra cautious about road riding because I’ve seen what can happen in a split second and the absolute horror of the aftermath.

Ah, she's still at Walton. Yes, I was there a good few years ago.
I actually can't stop thinking about this, it's just horrific & the poor other driver too. I hope the police are involved.
She is. I bought a lovely horse from her this August. A truly tragic incident.
I can't stop thinking about it either. God knows how she must be feeling.

I see she got engaged the day after. So that might be some positive for her but I can’t decide if it’s lovely or not as it will always remind her. 🤷‍♀️
