Hi everyone

Hope you are all well! I was speaking to a frienduperstore sort of place near Droitwich. It is a bit of a way for me so I was wondering if any of you had been and whether it is worth a visit?

Thanks

:-)

I've been there quite a few times and i love it!
They have more expensive brands like joules etc then the
More cheapy stuff which is well priced. I always go there for
My jods ,cheap & long lasting! :)

I prefer it to robbies actually :p

I don't think its much better than top barn which is 10 min further up the road. I also find the staff too in your face but they do have a good range of feeds and supplements... only do bates saddles...

It's a nice shop... decent size, nicely laid out....

Been there a few times myself (and please don't ask why I took a photo... I'm such a saddo :o ) I personally prefer the tack shop that is stuffed full so you have to root through to find anything... Horsatack is very neat!!

Bit of a hike from West Berkshire though!!!

That is why I thought I'd ask first! I wanted to know whether it would be shopping heaven or just another tack shop! Just Bates saddles is good for me though, I LOVE them! The mechanic horse also sounds quite appealing. Can you have a go on it, or do you have to be very serious about buying a saddle before they let you try it?

Domane, I'm also a saddo, far too many random photo's on my phone!!

One in Milton Keynes is pretty crap tbh. Very expensive clothing and if you order something in you never get a phone call telling you it's arrived. It's ok for very basics but not worth a special trip out. Also not all the staff at Mk are horsey. I asked if they had a 5.5 hanging cheek snaffle as none on the shelf and it took 3 staff to look on a poster to see what I meant. Another time I got to the till with stirrup leathers without a barcode so assistant was sent down to get a pair with a barcode came back with black Wintec though I had brown leather.

It is a big shop with a good selection of clothes, footwear, rugs, all sorts of the things you use in the stable, etc. it covers everything really including some books and giftware. I pop in from time to time but don't buy much. There are three other saddlery shops within 5-6 miles, Equimix, Top Barn and Countrywide.

I popped in with the OH when on the way back from Gamefest at the NEC. I found the staff very friendly and helpful while trying to get anything to fit my 6ft 2 BF. While we were there there was a young girl looking for a body pro and she was on the mechanical horse checking it didn't catch and someone said they let you on if you're looking for a coat too.

I occasionally pop in there if we are out that way, the staff are friendly enough and will positively encourage you to have a go on the mechanical horse - thats good for a giggle.

Had some cheap rugs from there that have lasted well :)

Where is top barn ??

A little further away is Jackie Roberts in Romsley crammed full of stuff, you can spend hours and thousands in there !!

I go to the one in MK sometimes. I do like having a browse, but I rarely come out with anything. I don't have an awful lot of money and brands don't do anything for me, so it's ebay for me.

Can I hijack and ask about Top Barn please? Any address details? I've been to Equimix (that's the one on the trading estate, yes?) and I have a Countrywide near me anyway.... but I'm curious to know about Top Barn... can't find anything on t'interweb..... is it worth a visit next time I'm in the area?

I work just over the road from the one in MK. I only go there for the odd consumable that I run out of, otherwise I go to RB. I have found that if you ask about anything they don't stock the answer is you can't get them anymore - that's if the member of staff knows what you are talking about.

Top barn, also known as Equestrian and Country Leisure (google for that)

Top Barn is the estate it's on, like a farmy outdoor adventure type place. It's in Hallow, on the outskirts of Worcester.
Really good place actually, they've got most things, staff seem friendly, prices I would say are pretty much standard.

They have a massive range of food, I go there cos it's the only place round here I can get Dengie Good Doer.
