Cart me off...im officially very creul.

I got down to the fields this morning to discover that the electric fencing had been completly trashed and the broodmares and filly were in with my boys causing havoc. They had two lots of fencing between them with a 2m gap with the purpose of preventing them getting anywhere near each other.

It took me an hour and a half to find it all (white tape and posts in snow not good!!) and put it back up. Then when I went to hay and the sodding filly tried to walk through it again:mad:

So...all the mares are now sporting this seasons must have winter accessory; electric tape looped around the front of their rug. Just been up to hay them again, filly tried to walk through fencing and she got shocked....and it made my day. Hopefully that'll teach the little beggar.:p

In case your're wondering why my boy's havn't been accessorised it's because one doesn't wear a rug and the other respects tape, on or off.

Ha ha glad I'm not the only one to loop tape through the front fastenings of a rug. My asbo cob nearly jumps with glee when I put a rug on him, then proceeds to barge through every bit of electric fencing. I think someone ought to invent some front rug fastening which incorporates electric tape, come on you lot, get inventing but don't forget you heard it here first lol

Something so fluffy minis get zapped would be handy too! Their coats are so thick it doesn't work properly so I have had to sew a length of tape into and through their manes leaving a bit sticking up and then against the neck under the mane. ( does that make sense?) they look like they are now remote control but it did make me laugh when it worked!

I am also very cruel. (Hangs head in shame)

Far better this "cruelty" and they learn to respect tape than risk an accident with them getting tangled up in it. I'm a cruel person too for having put tape on the front of rugs before.
