Looking for memes sometimes takes me down unexpected rabbit holes, this time I somehow managed to stumble over a few different pages with some descriptions and/or photos from horse adverts found on Craigslist. I had to share a few gems...

A miniature horse: "Stud, broke for children"

Sorrel Mare: “She’s very fast once she gets out on the trails. Good luck to your friends trying to keep up with you.”

Bay gelding: “He likes to do his own thing when you’re in the saddle.”

Exmoor pony: "Gorgeous, bombproof, and even rides and drives!"

Morgan gelding: “Goes good under saddle. Nice driving prospect, too. Just put in harness for the first time and he didn’t put up too much of a fight.”

Ungelded 5-year-old buckskin: “He really likes to be around other horses.”

Ranch horse prospect: “Hasn’t been exposed to cattle, but he’s seen them at a distance.”

Older bay gelding: “A been there, done that kind of horse. My novice husband rides him down busy streets in tennis shoes with a beer in his hand.”

Sorrel gelding: “I ride him bareback and I’m barefooted all the time, he’s that trustworthy.”

Quarter horse: "8 years old, well trained, not by me. She is an amazing horse, 2 different farriers say so."

"10 yr. old, average height (I don’t do hands), mostly white paint mare. Responds well to leg pressure, usually picks up correct lead, and loves to run. Fun to ride but tends to pull a bit on the bit (no pun intended). I’ve had a ball with her but I’m going back to golf."

....
and who uses a photo of a horse peeing to sell it!?!

That photo gives me the impression that either they already had some pictures of him to chose between, but that was the best one they had, and they couldn't be bothered to go out to the stable to get a better one. Or they went out to the stable to take a sales photo, the horse happened to be peeing, but they couldn't be bothered with waiting even some seconds to half a minute until after he had finished, without just took their photo.

In either case, if they can't be bothered with getting a better sales photo of him, what else haven't they been bothered with?

Yeah, way to let people know you really prepared him well for having the harness on first time. And if they think "he didn't put up too much of a fight" = nice driving prospect, it makes me wonder what their criterias are for saying he "goes good under saddle"?
Perhaps he "goes good under saddle" = he almost doesn't object about the saddle/rider at all?

I would go and take a look at the 'average height 10yo'

Sounds like it's very forgiving to have carted around someone with no idea about horses without decking them.

I guess you wont know without going to take a look.
