horse adverts that just miff you off

Well, at least her ad amused us for a while :D

I want some of what she has been taking ;)

I also think that she is buying her friends TB as wants to do some jumping which her nutty cob can't / won't do, and needs a sharer for one of them.

The completely random photos certainly don't help - we have 2 photos of empty stables, 2 of fields with a jump in them, one 'jumping' photo and one of a horse who appears to be standing on a jump pole in the middle of a school - how bizarre  :D

Though I like the 'full time education' with Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday off - so not really full time at all :D

I'm intrigued by the height: 395  395 WHAT?

Also the jumping horse appears to have no white markings but the one on the pole has a half-sock on one of the hinds - is it even the same horse? Or is it just really bad photos?!

I wish my "full time" education had been like that too  Is that what a full time job is like too? :D

Confusing and rambling ads. Like this one

Not sure what they are advertising?

Yeah it rambles a bit but I think it is perfectly clear that the horse for loan is a TB which is quieter and better behaved than her ageing cob and since the horse must stay where he is, the pictures show what facilities there are so that potential loaners can see what the environment would be. After all, the horse could be lovely and just what someone was looking for but one look at falling down stables and no facilities would put people off. The writer is actually doing a good job of showing the whole package.

Can't see a problem myself.

Photos which don't match the advert. Dunno about anyone else, but if I was selling my superstar pony who'd do it all I'd have a photo of it on the bit, one jumping a decent fence (preferably one SJ, one of it over something ditchy XC) and then a nice stood up photo. It doesn't take much to go out on a schooling day XC to get a few good shots.

Standing up doesn't bother me though- Al did it on Henry a lot.

But we still used decent photos of him rather than that! Especially as he was being sold as a competition pony, lol. You could give a fairly 'wrong' impression though, which is interesting.

Doesn't put me off but I do find it annoying.

"must go to a 5*home" Your not exactly going to want your Horse going to a crappy home are you?!

Meaningless, lazy cliches - many of which are documented in the pages above.
My personal worst - 'not a novice ride' - WTF does that mean???

"new home will be inspected" - given that once sold they will have no rights to check to see where & how it is it seems pointless

I do this. I also ask around to try and get an idea of what the people are like. If I hear anything bad about them, I wont sell. My horse isnt a car therefore I care where it goes. I always check the home, I've only ever sold to private homes (bar once) to date so it makes sense to check them to see how their other horses look and if their set up would suit my horse etc. If its a livery yard then obviously its a bit pointless...
