Horse 'Agent'

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Apart from having 2 ponies at home, I have been out of the horse loop for about 9 years now (raising a family, building a house etc!), but I now have the time (and funds!) to buy another horse for myself. I have been looking through hundreds of adverts for horses for sale over the last few months and I am totally overwhelmed by it all, i'm too scared to even ring up to chat about a horse for sale let alone view one! How can I go from regularly competing 2 horses at Novice Level BE, to now being too scared an anxious to even phone up about a horse for sale!! ..... Which leads me on to my question, is there such a 'person' or a company who matches horses to people, like a horse agent (preferably South West). I know there are probably companies who find top competition horses for riders, but i'm only looking for a nice, safe RC level all-rounder that i can safely hack out with my children and do a few fun rides! I'd rather not go to a dealer, and i struggle to trust sellers as I have been stung before! Does this person exist? If anyone can recommend anyone I would be so grateful. Thank you

I'm sure such people exist I just know of any I'm sure some others will be along to help.

I just thought perhaps having some lessons or sharing a horses for a bit might make you feel better about contacting sellers and potentially trying strange horses, or even if you have a friend with a horse that you could start riding regularly might even help.

Maybe a Pony Club DC could point you in the right direction?

Or even finding a really good instructor to help you find and match you with the right horse who can then accompany you on viewings.

Try Ben at Prestige. On FB. Based south east but sources all over. I am south west. You need to be ready to buy though and not in the window shopping phase. He moves quickly.
