Horse and Dog cake recipes?

I used to make the rescue dogs an ice cube for the summer, I'm sure it could be adapted for winter.
Basic meat stock, usually chicken, add veg, pasta, dog treats, bacon rind and anything else to hand, freeze in plastic containers, Mushroom/mince etc, the rescues loved them, also a good way of giving them meds.
Still thinking of ways to do a horsey one, you could hollow out a swede fill with treats and find a way to keep the lid on

Can't help with the horsey one but for a doggy liver cake I just throw flour milk and a couple of eggs in and mix to a thick cake/batter and then add chopped or liquidised liver (about 200 g) and chopped garlic then bake for about 20-30 mins. I make this every birthday for my Greyhound and he loves it!!

I shouldn't think carrot cake would be the worst thing in the world since it is basically carrot, oil, flour, egg and sugar, its super easy to make and I'm sure you could adapt it a bit! I love carrot cake sooo much at the moment, I made the weight watchers one available online that might be the best option!

I dont think garlic is good for dogs so would be very careful about using it if you are making a cake, a poorly dog on Christmas day is not a great idea.

I have quite a few but they may not be suitable for every horse as they aren't exactly healthy. I was actually considering starting an organic horse treat company as all the horses liked them better than regular treats (even my friends fussy mare who won't eat manufactured treats, loved them) but college got in the way besides it would have been hard to sell them at a reasonable price and still make a profit.

The horse birthday cake I made for my horse to share with his 'friends,' this recipe was a bit of a sloppy disaster but the horses liked it so it doesn't really matter but it was made from oats, flour, raisins (I think), tiny bit of molasses, apple (sliced and blended), carrot (whole and blended), mint, ground rose hips and icing (bad for horses, I know):

I also have a picture of the little horse cupcakes I made which were decidedly long life as they took about 5 months (would of lasted longer) for the horses to eat them all but they are probably better for the horses as they are bite sized and more nutritious. They were made from a similar recipe to above without the apple, carrot, raisins and with whole rose hips and less molasses. Maybe other stuff, I can't really remember:

In addition to these, I have made homemade lick-its like uncle jimmys but without the additives, horse treats (like little rolled balls, mint and carrot flavour, mint with mint and peppermint and carrot with dried carrot flakes) as well as other bits and pieces. Tbh I think you could just make up a recipe and it would work or just make a cake shape with feed and carrot, apple, maybe guinness (we add this at christmas for the yard cake) etc.
Hope this helped :) (sorry its long)

Garlic liver cake is fine for dogs so long as you only use 1 or 2 actual cloves. You could use tinned tuna instead of liver if you prefer. My dogs lover garlic liver cake, but I must admit I don't enjoy making it!!! It's excellent for training treats too.
