Horse and Harmony online shopping - experiences?

ty treacle - i panicked when they didnt answer my emails for a couple of days but that has much improved now.
I have now received my saddle - just waiting for rest of order that i ordered 4 weeks ago

I know someone who bought a Barefoot saddle from them; and didn't like it and/or it didn't fit their horse, and they duly returned it within the time-span as set out in their agreement, and they were really funny about refunding the money!!! :(

So I'd be very careful.

This was after she'd ordered the saddle and PAID FOR IT!!! but they kept here waiting while it was delivered from Germany for well over six weeks without explanation or contact.

I think they tend to wait until they've got quite a few orders for stuff before they actually get it in stock as most of it comes from Germany; which makes good business I guess, BUT they should tell people when they place their order & pay for the goods that it may be a long wait.

Personally whilst I love the stuff on their website, especially the bridles & reins; I'd be wary.

I've got two Barefoot bridles which I got on e-bay which are in really good condition and hardly used; bargains!

Also ..... bear in mind if you are fancying a Barefoot saddle, the newer ones are not like the older versions; I've got another friend who's got one of the older style Barefoot's and when she saw the new one my friend had ordered could hardly believe it was the same! So that's why it was sent back really. The quality and craftsmanship is nothing like the same.

If you want a nice Barefoot they are often for sale on e-bay but make sure its the "older" versions and not the newer ones.

Yes I am a bit concerned about the new designs - I was borrowing an older cheyenne and loved it. Then I bought a 2nd hand cherokee as I wanted knee rolls but it was the newer model and it was massive and non pliable. I have since ordered a cheyenne drytex but I am worried it will still be massive and I wont like it. I think I might just cancel the order now as fed up of waiting anyway!
