Horse and Rider detox / NLP in Surrey.

We opted not to in the end and went with http://www.happyrider.co.uk/ instead - which I can highly reccommend.

The other company were very expensive. Having spoken with them I did have some ethical concerns. I'm glad it was good for Mather - but it wasn't for us.

If you're not sure about it the good thing about happy rider is that the first session is free!

I have been looking at using 'happy rider' as struggling with confidence big time riding ! Where they really good ?

I like Happy Rider. The price for Confident Rider is absolutely massive.

The principles of NLP are probably much the same where ever you go. As long as you have a good practitioner. The idea is really to give you the tools to sort yourself out.

So given that the main difference I can see is that Happy Rider works over several sessions with a chance to work on what you learned between times and Confident rider is one session. You would have 21 Happy Rider sessions to spend the same amount of money as you would one Confident Rider session. And I think they reckon 6 sesions are usually enough. So the maths is fairly simple!

We did have problems getting hold of Happy Rider at first as they were away in australia. But now we've found them I'm... well... happy!

Having had a couple of conversations with Confident Rider they jumped to some very wrong conclusions about me - including about my daughter's school and my personal finances. Matters that were not even relevant to riding. When that was pointed out they didn't even apologise - just asked when I wanted to come. Needless to say at that point I didn't!

I had been very sceptical about NLP / confdence coaching. But now I think it is quite effective. I'm not bounding all over the countryside in a gung ho manner. But nerves don't get the better of me anymore and I'm enjoying riding. At my age that is really all I want!
