I am interested in anyone's experiences of riding near to windturbines. I would also like to hear from anyone breeding horses near to windfarms and whether there have been any noted effects on the mares cycles or any instances of abortion/stillbirth/birth defects etc.

.

I am in the Fens where wind turbines are reproducing quicker than rabbits!!

There are turbines in most directions from my horses field & the hacks we go on but we never get closer than approx a mile from them. My gelding hasn't been bothered by them at all but my new mare & friends mare sometimes stop and have a look at a new one which appears.

With regards to your breeding questions nearby is a successful quarter horse stud who also have a wind farm!! If you look at the pictures for "Stags holt wind farm" on the 2nd link you can see the horses in the fields.
