Hi,
New to the forum . I know this has been discussed - but some time ago.
I would really welcome tips/ advice on asymmetry. In as much as I have a lovely 17 yr old gypsy cob gelding. Rescued 6 yrs ago in a bit of a state. Long story short, suffered with asthma, ems, upright feet, obesity. No known history before 10, likely driven. Health improved over the years, managed on a track, barefoot. He has become a nice quiet hack with occasional schooling and ground work. Diagnosed with mild coffin joint arthritis earlier this year. Sound now managed on equiox. I’ve struggled with saddle slip ( to the right leading to right stirrup feeling longer). He has a bigger left shoulder than right . Despite constant attention to saddle and change to a straighter cut ( during which going did improve a little ), physio, bodywork, not changing much . What advice for building left shoulder?
He is sound but struggles with canter transitions , especially right and curves to left in trot when hacking. I could shim but where ? Tips for groundwork etc, Thankyou.
