My usually sensible confidence giving cob has turned into a spooky idiot and I have no idea why!! Has anyone else got a sppoky tw*t for a horse at the moment??
I am wondering if it is the grass, as I think the plants think it is spring again at the moment - or it could be that he has come in at night now, although I didn't have any of this behaviour last year. I am at a loss. And being a nervous rider myself. it is no help us both being idiots!!
He was nappy today, but I got him past it, he did get a bit annoyed that he wasn't getting his own way, but that just results in him humping his back a bit, but I told him off and he did as I asked, but he felt huge all the way around and spooked again at some pheasants which he knew were there. So today's ride was a very short one. I am trying to hang onto the knowledge that I delt with the situation and he did do as he was asked in the end. But its not good for my nerves.
I want my sensible horse back!
