My horse is a sensitive flower and gets rubbed by everything, reins, rugs, saddle, my legs. It's really annoying and I don't know what to do about it. A bib helps with the rugs and a different numnah has improved his saddle rubs. I can't however sort out the fact that he's rubbed by my reins and leg. I've had an instructor and my YM watch me and i'm not pulling with my hands or using too much leg. They both say i'm very quiet, he just gets rubbed very easily.

Is there anything I can do to stop him losing his hair? (It's a lot worse when he's moulting his summer or winter coat)

not much help really, but would a strong skin support supplement help ? Maybe a wendalls herb one ? Sounds like it needs support from the inside.

Worm is the same, a very delicate little flower :) Gold label do a gel (it's pink :D) called "Skin Hardener" which may be worth trying. It's supposed to just toughen the skin up a bit if applied daily, not sure how good it is mind you

JessandCharlie - :D very glad there's someone else out there. I think people must think i'm mean and pull on his reins and kick him too much to cause his bald patches but I couldn't be more quiet on his back if I tried
