My favourite book was called - Prince Among Ponies - it was about a naughty PBA whom some poor kids reschool when staying with their rich friends and he turns out to be super. Reminds me now of Murphy.
Think it was a pullein thompson book, also loved Rosina Cooper and the Caroline Akrill Eventing Trilogy - Ticket to Ride, Foot in the Door and I can't remember the other. They dont write them like they used to.
