There is a nice company I used to use with gorgeous clean boxes- manningtree Horsebox hire. http://www.essexequineselfdrive.co.uk/ but if I remember rightly you have to be 23 or over to hire?

I used to use them once a month for shows and they were always super clean and really really easy to drive. Give them a call.

Thanks its for my friend and shes over 23 so that should be okay are they okay with short notice?
I've never booked them short notice as I used to plan my shows out on a calendar at the start of the season- but as long as they have a box free (they have 4 I think) then it won't be a problem. The couple that run it are really lovely.

Manningtree are great, also have you tried DKS? He has a trailer rather than a lorry but they're not too pricey and can usually fit me in when I book at the last minute :o

I've used Manningtree horsebox hire at short notice and as others have said very good service, would highly reccomend, would mention the Shetland though as the one I hired had single breast bar which Shetland would go straight under, presume if you mentioned it they'd sort something out. Pity you not going Trinity Park Sunday then you could have got a lift with me!

Ditto this. They do have a driver available also!

I'd only use manningtree. Know of nags on the move but never used them, so can't comment on that. Have a look at their FB page or website.
