Horse box paint

So I've bought a lovely lil lorry but just want to repair the metal work, all the wood has been treated, can I just use hammerite paint?

Any suggestions welcome!!!

hammerite would be fine, you can get some you can paint onto rusty paint, but better to rub it down and then paint, you can get high gloss or hammered bumpy less glossy finish.
