My horse is broken (ex-racehorse) but only two and a half years old. My friend has a 4yr old and bless her, she lets me ride him as we're bringing him on now he has a settled home. But i've already got the wanting to go off places itch and don't really want to be riding my boy as I feel he should mature a bit (any comment on that is welcome if you've found ex-racers do better later on in work rather than being turned away).
I used to loan a 15.2hh horse - fab little thing - but the owner decided she wanted somebody else to have him instead (god only knows why) and i'd taken him up to Escrick Park (with my friend and hers) for his first recky cross-country and stuff and would like to do it again but i've no ride!!!
How does one combat such a problem?!
