I have been riding my sister mare Pippin (as my sister is pregnant), I have hacked her out twice, once with a friend and once alone.
When we went out alone as soon as we gout out of the yard Pippin started calling for her friend who is in the next field/stabled opposite. And all the time we were out she was on her toes and jogging, getting worse when she knew we were heading home and all time she was calling.
When we went out with my friend she was alot better at first but then started calling for her friend again.
Is there anyway of helping her be less stressed being away from her friend?
Im worried she is going to slip on the road as she is jogging and after an hour of being jiggled about Im really aching

The more you hack out hopefully she will start to settle. Did your sister hack her out alone? It may be she's just not used to it.

Oh Lordy! We got three here; if you take one out the other two boo-hoo and call for the other, whatever you do you just can't win.

At the mo we've got one up in the top field calling for the one in the yard (special relationship!!); then there's the youngster out in the other field charging up and down and getting in a right sweat, and he doesn't know whether he should be calling for the horse down in the yard (box rest), or the other one.

If one is taken out and away from the yard, the whole district thinks there's a horse vivisection factory here and they're practically ringing the RSPCA. B***y horses!
