Horse care knowledge , reccomendations

Basically it's my OH birthday next week , he's been riding since he was 8 but only as a stables . Knows how to tack up but doesn't know any basic horse care , how to put on brushing boots etc , what different brushes are for etc etc .

So .... Please can you reccomend me a book to buy that he can learn from , preferably with lots of diagrams to help him .

You really can't beat the good old Pony Club manual. Any of the BHS publications will give you sound, safe information.
