Right was just looking for a little advice until I can get hold of my vet.

8 weeks ago my horse had a choking episode once the farrier was finished. I contacted my vet and on his advice we managed to get it to pass. Around a hr later she had another one which lasted around 2 mins before passing. We did what the vet suggested first time and my mare was fine. I contacted my vet back and told him they had passed and was now fine but I'd keep a close eye on her during the night and advice him how she was in the morning unless she went downhill during the night. She was fine but a few days later she started quidding. So phoned vet who came out to check her teeth altho they were done in Feb this year. Her teeth were good but she had a tiny diasma which he changed the shaped of her teeth to see if it would help (she a very sensitive tb) It seems to have helped and she hasnt quidded since.
This last couple of weekends my mare who is out 24/7 has been inside for a night for a few shows she has been too, and also been in stable for a few hrs around her working. Everytime in the last couple weeks she is inside and gets some haylage she has been choking or has had haylage going down slow. These dont last any longer than 30sec to a min but its everytime she gets haylage.
I am going to chat to my vet about this bot wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this or can tell me if it anything to worry about?

Thanks for taking your time to read this a wine for everyone who has gotten this far.

My warmblood goes through fazes of doing thid.
sounds like you horse is basically being greedy!
Living out then cone in to eat haylage, yum!
They don't chew pellets and it gets stuck.
Use hay nets with small holes, one inside the other if needed.
If you use hay wet it, don't give it dry.

No she doesnt have any nasel discharge. she just has the food going down slow and it gets stuck.

She always gets her haylage from a net with small holes, and to be honest she never looks like she eating it greedily. My last horse was a greedy b***** and he used to scoff it. But she always looks gentle and takes small mouthfuls. Isnt ramming as much in as possible. If that makes sense.
