Horse communicator...

Wow, thanks for taking the time to reply. Interesting stuff! Your approach to what you do sounds far more reasoned than the communicators I have come across. The one I used myself was very spiritual, sentimental and above all, totally inaccurate. That pushed my skepticism to further depths. Hey, I hope you are right and there is something in it all, but there are a lot of ripoff artists and delusionals not making your case any easier.

Thanks again.

Thankyou :-) and sorry you had such a bad experience and no it doesn't help other much when thats the feedback they get from people who have had bad experiences.

I think the prolem with any profession is that we can become lazy and self limiting thereby reaching a plateau so to speak and stop ourselves from learning. Me I keep learning as best I can as I'm just plain nosey!!

My inspiration in AC was a lday called Julie Dicker sadly died from cancer a few years back. After her working with my horses I decided thats what I wanted to do as if I could have before my mare would never have suffered 14 hours of terrible agony from a tumour around her intestines and suffered toxemia due to misdiagnosis. Once I found I could do it I spent everyday practicing for 18 months having my work checked out by professionals before I was satified with myself to work professionally. I then researched and studied the brain/mind to find out how I was doing it so I could explain and teach others to help animals. dare I add that I have also worked with a few altistic children helping their parents understand them and their needs.

I now work with rehabing horses, mnay were gifted to me, some stay permanently some stay for as long as they need to (often years) then are rehomed to who they choose and when they choose on permanet loan as I refuse to sell horses as I feel it is my responsibity once they come to me to be sure they stay in safe hands. Whilst they are here they recieve self selection aromatics, have kinesiology, healing and whatever else they require. All being well in around a year my 17.2hh dressage horse that came here last April will go to my friend to go back into work. He's cost me a fortune to date but its just part of my job to help him and move him on in life as thats what he needs from me and I feel honoured to have been able to share in that with him and seen him change for the better. When he came I had never met such a big horse with so little courage. he used to jump and leg it from my alpha mare, now he turns bucks and walks off!

Yes theres good and bad in all therapies etc its just about finding someone that suits you and on the horse front its about using an ac that understands enough about horses. If it wasn't for ac and what I heard from a mare I would never have learnt that biting can cause problems with a nerve in the mouth (in some horses) that can affect their hearing (checked out with my vet and dentist that couldn't see why it wasn't the case) because of this dozens of horses that were spooky and having problems ridden because of their hearing are now ridden bitless with no problem. Thats why we need to be opening to learning. I hoonestly beleive that life is about 'growing' and learning about who we are and how we relate to others. Horses play a huge part in teaching us about ourselves and if it weren't for the animals I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from I wouldn't have the life and peace of mind I do today.

Good luck with your horse :-)

My friend can do horse readings and is actually doing one for my horse this weekend.

I'm generally a bit sceptical about such things but knowing this person as well as I do (I lived next door to him for many years), I have been constantly amazed with the thing's he's been able to tell me and my family.

When he did C's last reading I'd only owned him for about 1 month but I know a lot about his past and this guy was spot on with everything - even down to telling me that he'd recently pulled his back left shoe and that shoes would be an ongoing problem (which they have been)

He says that he doesn't "talk" to my horse but picks up images, thoughs and sensations which he then has to interpret - I find it all fascinating - that said, I use if for a bit of fun and to get some general information - I don't know if I'd employ it if my horse was having more serious issues.
