Horse community in Alderholt/Fordingbridge

Hi I am looking to move to the Alderholt/Fordingbridge area. Not being from the area I know nothing! Is the hacking in Ringwood forest good, are the roads locally ok to hack on? What are the nearest competition centres and riding clubs? Thanks for any info or tips.

I know Fording bridge is in Hampshire but most people who live there have more affinity with Dorset, so you may get replies from the South West HHO ERS. In the meanwhile try the NFED web site.

I think gorley Vale is the nearest riding club to Fordingbridge. Not sure on Ringwood forest but if you are in hacking distance to the new forest the riding that way is beautiful.

There are quite a lot of competitions around depending on what you want to do. NFED is a good place to look for events on their calendar
