Horse coughing advice please

My horse has developed a cough, not all the time but when he moves. Ie taking in and out field or riding. It's a 5 or 6 time big cough, no gunk almost like something stuck.
Gave week off and took him for walk hack today but he did it more cause he was moving. Soak hay and out 14 hrs a day,
Any advice or should I get vet.

My pony developed a cough last year and it transpired it was the start of summer pasture respiratory airway obstruction ( same as COPD) so worth getting it checked.

Mines coughing at the minute too, plus she has a skin problem on her face that may either be an allergy or ringworm. Vet is due next week. Call your vet, it will stop you wondering and worrying and googling, as I have been doing!

My daughters pony developed a cough this summer, same as Suby2, she has an inhaler and its cleared up, she'll probably need it here and there

Try a cough syrup in his feed, some because it has been so hot and dry do start coughing, is he clearing himself when he has coughed if not call the vet.

Ensure that your stable and adjoining stables are kept clean of dust and cobwebs etc. Remove at least once a week by sweeping down walls and rafters.

It really is worth getting the Vet out. Your horse might have a chest infection.
