Hi, has anyone used Leyland Pet Cemetery? If so did you have the ashes returned to you and how much roughly did it all cost? I have also looked at Brent Carter and wondered if anyone had any dealing with him?? :(
I have the awful desicion looming soon....:(
 
I only have experience of speaking to Leyland on the phone to ask the same questions.

The day hasn't come yet (years later) but I felt better to be prepared.

They were extremely kind and helpful over the phone.

They have prices on their website now but for horses, you need to get a quote.

For an Arab, it was around £500 for individual cremation a few years ago, if I remember right.

Not much help - but give them a ring. They will help you though it.

Thanks Oberon, I have emailed them. I hoped it would be a long time off for me yet too....but looking at her this morning I think not :(

I don't envy you right now.

Old horse is (touch wood) OK but old dog is looking a bit dodgy at the moment - back legs giving up but otherwise healthy.

She's been on borrowed time with the legs since last August, but it's coming to a head now.

Your post gave me reason to look at the website - something I've been avoiding doing. So thank you for that.

Would you update me on what they quote for a horse nowadays, if you don't mind?

I phoned them a few weeks back.

It depends on horses size etc...

But for body removal and ashes returning for a 15.3hh horse it's appox £530 I think. Significantly less for no ashes returned.

Give them a call, they are very helpful and sorry for your situation. They are highly recommended when I enquired about them.
 
This is my reply from Leyland. Millie is a 15.1hh Welsh x tb.

If she is cob for an individual cremation it will be £530.62 and for a communal cremation(no ashes returned) it will be £330.62, both include collection fee. If you have any further questions then please contact us again.

I have already decided that I am going to bury her at home :(
