Hello - looking for a new show jumper at the moment. I want something with a bit of a record, ideally up to Newcomers/Foxhunters that's between six and eight and have a limit of 10k. Can anyone recommend any dealers? I'm going to see Sandra Low Mitchell soon and would be interested to hear of any experiences?

Hi, I'm in Scottish Borders but I got a horse of mpf horse talent in Durham, Christina is great and she has some fab horses, I'm sure she would find a nice quality competition horse for you.
 
Alan Spalding in Aberdeenshire specialises in showjumpers - I haven't bought from him - the one I was going to suggest was Sandra Low-Mitchell but you have already thought of her :)
 
Ditto loobylu the Lohoars are near to Sandra, you could also try Andrew Hamilton, although he's not a dealer as such he might know of or have something. Richard Duncan has one on FB with DCs up to 1.30 but may be pricey.
 
Fiona McIntyre in Coylton might have something. Never dealt with her personally but she always seems to have some nice horses advertised.

I have first hand experience of Spalding and would not go back.

Douglas Duffin maybe worth a call?

I used the Lohoars at Drumcarrow to find my horse, and was absolutely delighted with the whole experience. After trying a good few of their horses that were nearly but not quite right, they took real interest in what I wanted, and came back promptly with two horses which were exactly what I was after - and I'm thrilled with the boy I bought from them, who is exactly (down to the 'no white socks' request) what I wanted, and more!

Can be difficult to get them on the phone, but worth persevering!
