I recieved the following email regarding a HORSE that I have advertised on Horse Deals;

"Hello,

Am paul and i will like to know if you still have your horsebox for sale. if you do still have it for sale just get back with the price and detail along with some pictures for it okay. Nice to read from you back.

Thanks
Paul smith"

I'm pretty sure this is some kind of scam as I recieved an almost identical email for another ad that I placed on Horse Deals.

My dad had one like this for his Yacht, They asked if they couls send a cheque and once its cleared contact their shipper to come and collect it for them. Turned out the cheque was stolen and the guy who owned the account the cheque came from had no idea.!

Reply from Horse Deals:

We are aware of this scam. Below is the advice given by the Fraud Squad web site.

If you have received a suspicious, letter, fax or e-mail emanating from West Africa or elsewhere and wish to report it to the appropriate authorities then you should hand it in to your local police station marked for the attention of the fraud squad. DO NOT REPLY TO THE LETTER ITSELF. Further information about these sorts of frauds can be obtained from the Office of Fair TradingExternal site link.

This is the reply we received when we contacted them
