A friend has asked me,well a close friend of mine does my two and does not charge me a penny.

I have asked him how much he charges he says £30 per horse.

Is that good???

£40 per horse. Our dentist does an entire day on the yard and fits everyone in so may be slightly cheaper then his normal fee.

i paid 40 last time, but he was a new guy and does it cheaper after he has done the horse first time, but only by a few quid i think

I paid £25 last time but I wasn't that happy so got someone else coming out again which I think is about £40

It pays to get the right professional in the first place

I Cant use dentist as he needs sedating and would cost loads more than the 90 quid every 3 months( try to stretch it to 4 though) as he has problems with his teeth

Cut a long story short My horse dentist loves Birds of prey,my OH is a falconer and have become very very good friends.

The person i used to work for introduced me to the horse dentist He used to train amd breed race horses in America

£30 for the first edt not beva qualified then about 6 weeks when the beva registered edt turned up on the yard unexpected another £45 as I did not trust the first edt so got him to look at my horse.

Thangoodness I did as he had to do a lot of work , the back molars had very sharp points ( I felt them and he was not wrong ) the first edt who was not qualified in this country but had done a short course in new zealand had done as good as nothing except take my money so I ask you which of the two were better value?

I pay £25 per horse, and he's absolutely fantastic. My new mare with the dental issues had severe overgrowth and couldn't close her mouth properly, it took him 4 hours with power floats etc. He was quiet and calm with her, never tried to do more than a few minutes at a time with her and removed 10ml of overgrowth, and still only charged me £25.

Last time I paid £60 which I thought was a bit steep. I just added him on to the yard list but think I'll be checking the price first next time.
Usually I've paid about £40.

I had mine done yesterday and paid £25.00 but only one horse needed doing so the other one was free.

We have them done every 6 months.
