I'm just curious.

My horse has so many different heights on his various records.

On his advert he was described as being 16.2hh. (5 year old)
On his advert he was described as being 16.3hh. (10 year old)
On his BS record he is recorded as 16.2hh. (5 year old)
On his BE record he is recorded as being 17.2hh (6 year old).

How can there be so many variations? Does it depend on who registers the horse - do they just guess a height???
Huge disparity between BS and BE for example.

It is definitely for the same horse as his name is unusual and his passport mirrors his riders locations and his discipline records also mirror riders names/locations. Microchip/passport all reflected.

Sounds like there is guessing going on, though he could have grown a bit after 5. How tall is he actually?
I tried to put a height stick on him the other day, anyone would have thought I was planting a stick of dynamite at his feet. So I was unable to measure him. But Bailey was 17.1hh just, so sitting on him (the 8 times in 4 months  ) he feels only around 16.2 but rides so much bigger.

That's probably why nobody has got a proper measurement ?

The 17.2hh must either be typo or a mistake. I'm trying to remember if Michael ever measured him when he had him. I do remember someone having a fruity about the measuring stick but I'm not sure that was Lari. I'd have guessed he was 16.2hh or thereabouts when we had him, he was far from one of our biggest. He's such a sweet horse Birker2020, I know you've had a really tough start with him but I'm so happy for him that he has found such a good home.

He is lovely. He feels special but he's a total pillock too!. He's a goof, he really is quite a character. No wonder she said he was like a giant labrador in her advert lol.

After he had his tea the other night whilst still wearing his poultice on his bad foot he managed to stand on top of the head of the broom with his opposite front leg!

I was sweeping around him like I do every night but he's more interested in mugging me for a treat.

The broom has funny little arcs of plastic that sit on the broom head - i think they are for the stale to rest in when they are first made.

So he only stood on one, I heard it snap . I knew it couldn't have gone into the sole of his foot but it had gone into the cleft of the frog. That must have hurt!

So I pulled it out, dabbed a bit of iodine up the crack with a brush and crossed my fingers! Photo of plastic attached.

He pulls the towel out of the manger and throws it in the air, stamps on the half bale of shavings that's next to the stable and then pulls it towards him with his teeth and proceeds to try and tip the shavings out and sucks my pockets like a kid sucks a blanket if i leave my coat in the door within his reach. When I put my hand in I find a soggy pocket and half dissolved mint in the bottom of it!

His latest 'trick' is to throw his rubber bowl over the stable door, he thinks that's great fun. The poor girl in the stable next to me can't leave anyyhing in her manger for fear he'll either eat it or throw it!

And if you tell him off out comes the tongue. Very funny boy. Love him!

He's such a goofball! He's always done that with his tongue, he used to have us in hysterics. I used to like all their rugs folded just so outside their stables but you couldn't do that with Lari as he's just tip them onto the floor!
