I hope I'm posting this in the right place, apologies ifit should be elsewhere.

Has anyone had a horsedrawn carriage for their wedding? I'm looking at this as a rather late addition for my mum's wedding which is quite soon.
I know a man who can do it, but I can't ring him on a Sunday - just looking for a general idea of costs.
Thanks

make sure that you see the carriage and horses before you decide. We used to have a man livery with us who did wedding carriages. If he had turned up at my wedding I would have been very uspet as the horse was never clean and was just so scruffy.

I did have a 'carriage' at my wedding. It was held together with Baler Twine

They weren't very fast donkeys until we went pass the thorn bushes and the balloons on the back burst

ah wow, both of your sets of pics are lovely!
I would love to do it as a surprise, I think it would work logistically but will have to confirm a price first!
I can't wait to see her face if it works out

I had one when I got married 8 years ago and it cost £325, but he now charges from £500. My husband and I do this ourselves now, and we charge from £250 (no money down here) We also now do weddings with a pair of donkeys, again from £250.

That doesn't sound too expensive!! I've always said to my mum, I don't care if I have to get married in my jeans and T-Shirt, as long as I can have a horse drawn carriage (must be pulled by greys!!)

As I said, we are cheap, I think most will cost £400 plus. We still offer a great and very professional service. Our donkeys are grey but not our horses.

I had a horse drawn carriage for my wedding. I had always dreamed that I would and it was absolutely fantastic! I think it was about £450 - that was 5 years ago. There were 2 dun welshies pulling a beautiful landau carriage. The horse and carriage certainly made my day really special.

i run a horse drawn carriage company and please do go see the horses and the carriage before you book, also check they have valid commercial insurance as many dont,
round here we charge about 300 but it also depends on whether i have to transport them in the lorry
