Horse dreaming?

Went to muck out my friend's horse (DT) at about half 6 on Friday ... he was lying flat out in his box, sound asleep ... then he started twitching his back legs and making snuffling noises! It was extremely sweet, but I was just wondering if anyone else has seen their horse do this?

Was he dreaming? It's the first time I've ever seen anything like it

Ahhh how sweet. Maybe he was dreaming he was Black Beauty. No - not seen that before

Yes, Zeus does it, a lot. Reminiscent of a dog 'chasing rabbits', he whinnies. I usually see him do it on sunny days about noon when he is having his naps outside. He snores too.

Mine does it. I've seen him flat out asleep with all his legs going! Hes an ex racer.. perhaps dreaming of racing lol!

One of the horses at the riding school I used to work out did this all the time. He'd lay flat out in his stable using his wall banking as a pillow, and dream the day away!

yes my mare does!! we used to keep them on a public footpath & get phone calls from people thinking she was having a seizure!

it makes me smile everytime i watch it! its even better when she starts quietly neighing but iv not got a vid of that yet!
