There's three horses and a pony on the yard i'm at who eat their beds (they don't get left much hay or get any turnout so they eat every clean piece of straw they can find
yo has told them numerous times to leave them more/come up more but they don't).
To try and stop them eating all the straw the owner has been spraying jeyes fluid over the straw for the past month or so... I know it's poisonous for cats so it surely can't be good for horses? Does anyone know how dangerous it actually is?
I've learnt to turn a blind eye being on various yards over the years but I can't help but feel sad for the poor horses stood in 24/7 in their own muck usually with no hay or water and YO won't do anything about it despite numerous complaints.
