Horse eating manure

Hello all,

My 13hh 4 year old Cob who is a Rig keeps eating other horses manure. He lives out 24/7 and his diet consists of chaff and supplements including a vitamin and mineral supplement. Worming and teeth up to date etc.

Any help of possible treatments would be hugely appreciated!

Is he actually a rig or just behaving in a riggy way? if a true rig he will have stallion tendencies and eating droppings is just one of many things a stallion will sometimes do, if he is a rig I would seriously look into getting him operated on as it will potentially cause issues for him not to mention the risk of him getting in with mares.

If he is just showing some riggy behaviour then a supplement such as rig calm may help with some of the less desirable traits.
